The Rooboys' 2026/27 Season Begins
Coorparoo opened the 2026/27 Queensland Sub-District cricket season with three limited-overs games (two losses and one win) and one two-day game.
The A1s are close to first innings defeat against the Gold Crest Cobras at Finsbury Park. Chasing 161, Coorparoo are 7/88 (Tom Cameron 50 not out). Liam Lanza (3/18), Xavier McCluskey (3/34), and Kristan Haikal (3/49) took nine wickets between them.
The C1s beat Valley District by four wickets at Brisbane State High Sports Complex (oval 2). Steven Pidcock (3/1), Manish Pal (2/11), Ken Parry (2/16), and Todd Duncan (2/16) combined to dismiss Valley for 94. Toryn Lee scored 30 not out as Coorparoo (6/95) reached the target in 16.2 overs. Pidcock took his 250th Coorparoo wicket.
The B2s lost to Springwood by 29 runs at Homestead Park. Chasing 140 (Jake Coxall 3/21, Amandeep Thatai 3/28, Sam Rogers 2/32). Coorparoo was dismissed for 111 (Julian Hedditch 21, Coxall 20 not out). Thatai took his 100th Coorparoo wicket.
The C2s lost by 52 runs to Everton at Peter Gallagher Oval. Chasing Everton's 3/214 (Jacques Breet 2/26), Coorparoo made 7/162 (Shubham Sood 42, Ayaan Vahora 37) in 35 overs. Sood and Vahor put on 62 for the second wicket.
Sub-District Round 2 begins next Saturday, with the B2s, C1s, and C2s playing another round of limited-over games, while the A1s finish their two-day game.
